Where We’re Growing: Planning Together for a Sustainable Region is intended for local planners, public works, and transportation professionals to learn more about state and regional planning efforts and how we can move forward as a region to create and sustain thriving and equitable places.

  • Keynote speakers Dave Somers, Snohomish County Executive, PSRC President and Josh Brown, PSRC Executive Director
  • Engage with a panel representing various perspectives on where the region is headed and the opportunities and challenges associated with growth
  • Participate in small group sessions on Sustainability Planning for a Changing Environment, The Local Impacts of Regional Transportation Investments, Beyond Affordability: Segregation and Housing Choice, and Changing Approaches for Changing Demographics
  • Guided walking tour of the historic Pioneer Square district

Registration is $10 and includes lunch. CM credits pending.

Event is from 8:30 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. with an optional walking tour from 3:00 - 4:00 p.m. During registration, please let us know if you would like to go on a walking tour.

Pioneer Square – Join Alliance for Pioneer Square staff on a 60-minute walking tour of Pioneer Square, Seattle’s original downtown that is now a historic preservation district. The tour will highlight how the district works to balance historic buildings and elements of the neighborhood with new development to serve a growing number of residents and jobs.
